Start with the place and task rather than the phone: in-car navigation, desk calls, filming or reading. The use case determines the required height, rotation range, attachment method and acceptable vibration.
01What to check
- The clamp width with the case fitted, not only the bare phone.
- Base stability or compatibility with the vehicle vent, windscreen or dashboard.
- Access to buttons, charging port and wireless charging area.
- Whether the screen can rotate without loosening the main joint.
- Soft contact points that will not mark the case or phone body.
For use in a car
A holder must not obstruct the road view, instruments or airbags. Test its grip over uneven surfaces and adjust it while the vehicle is stationary. Evaluate a magnetic mount together with the actual case and any plate being used.
