QUESTIONS BEFORE THE PROJECT
Short answers to questions that affect the composition, cost, and reliability of the solution.
First, we define the goal: reduce daytime consumption from the grid, maintain critical loads during an outage, or supply the site without the network. Different schemes, inverters, and batteries are needed for these tasks.
Only very preliminarily. For a fair model, at least a year of bills, daily load profile, tariff, growth plans, available area, shading, and connection condition are needed. Identical monthly consumption can have completely different economics.
No. The network station can reduce daytime consumption without batteries. A storage unit is needed for backup, autonomy, or shifting energy over time; its capacity is calculated based on critical loads and required operating hours.
A standard grid inverter stops output when the grid fails for safety reasons. For operation during an outage, a hybrid or autonomous architecture with a dedicated backup circuit and, as a rule, a storage system is required.
For net consumers, rules for connection, accounting, and contract with the power supply organization are provided. The possibility and procedure are confirmed for a specific connection point according to current requirements; future sales are not included in the economy without checking the conditions.
Orientation, shading, temperature regime, losses, string diagram, connection quality, and inverter condition can affect output more than a small difference in rated power. Therefore, we compare not an individual panel, but the forecast of annual output of the entire system.
Monitor the actual output, inverter errors, protection, connections, fasteners, and cable status. Cleanup is based on contamination and performance degradation rather than automatically on a calendar.
