The sensor reports opening but does not distinguish the required leaf
LIVING PERIMETER
Door and Window Inspection
Opening and status sensors that indicate not just an alarm, but a specific unlocked door, window, or sash. Design, Installation and Maintenance in Almaty and Kazakhstan.
Before leaving, there is no need to walk around the house. The system shows unclosed points, reports openings in security mode, and can safely interact with the climate.
HOW THIS WORKS IN REAL LIFE
A scenario understandable without technical terms
The house is in absence mode, but the second floor window is left open. The system warns before leaving. If the window is opened later, the owner will receive an address message and will be able to check the event on the camera.
WEAKNESSES
Why a separate device is not enough
Location, communication, power, reaction logic, and maintenance determine reliability—not just the brand of the sensor or actuator.
Signal drops due to metal, distance or discharge
The window remained ajar, and the system considers it closed
Alarms are not related to the regime at home and come constantly
ENGINEERING SCENARIO
What We Design & Inspect
Each step should have a clear result and manual verification method.
- 01
We compile a list of doors, windows, hatches, and technical entries
- 02
Determine the normal condition and permissible ventilation modes
- 03
Selecting recessed or surface-mounted execution
- 04
We link the alarm to home mode, lighting, climate, and camera only where it is useful.
IMPORTANT IN THE PROJECT
What must be addressed from the start
- Quality control of radio communication at each point
- Sensor Protection Against Accidental Damage
- Accounting for multiple sashes and complex hardware
- Checking the notification when actually leaving the house
TRANSFER TO OWNER
What you receive beyond the equipment
- List of monitored points
- Clear zone names
- Home, Night, and Away Modes
- Unclosed Point Warning
- Battery Replacement Instructions
BEFORE INSTALLATION
Questions: doors & windows
Short answers to questions that affect the composition, cost, and reliability of the solution.
01Does the sensor show which window is open?
Yes, if each point is entered separately and named clearly. Instead of a general message “zone 7” you will see, for example, “children's room — left window.”
02Can the position be monitored while ventilating?
For some types of windows, this is possible with a separate sensor or special placement. We check the fittings and determine which positions really need to be distinguished.
03Will the sensor be noticeable in the interior?
There are compact surface-mounted and hidden solutions. Hidden installation is better planned before finishing; for completed renovations, we select the least noticeable placement.
04How long does the battery last?
It depends on the model, connection quality, temperature, and frequency of events. More important than the specification period is low battery notification and sensor availability for replacement.
05Can the air conditioner be turned off with an open window?
Yes, if the climate system allows control and a delay is set to prevent response to brief openings. Manual mode is retained.
06Does this replace the burglar alarm?
Sensors can be part of it, but full security includes staging, alarm scenarios, communication, and, if necessary, response. Choose the format according to the expected level of protection.
