REACTION WITHOUT EXPECTATION

Automatic Water Shutoff

Electric actuators on the water supply, which close the desired line in case of a confirmed leak and maintain manual control. Design, Installation and Maintenance in Almaty and Kazakhstan.

MAIN RESULT

The notification reports a problem, and the valve limits the damage. We design not just the closing of a valve, but a safe and verifiable scenario with manual control.

HOW THIS WORKS IN REAL LIFE

A scenario understandable without technical terms

The sensor detects water near the filter. The controller closes the cold and, if necessary, hot line, reports the result to the owner, and logs the event. After inspection, water can be returned only by a deliberate command.

WEAKNESSES

Why a separate device is not enough

Location, communication, power, reaction logic, and maintenance determine reliability—not just the brand of the sensor or actuator.

01

The drive is installed on an unsuitable or seized valve

02

After shutting off, there is a supply of water in the boiler or tank

03

Valve is not available for manual operation

04

Automatic shuts off water without clear zone indication

ENGINEERING SCENARIO

What We Design & Inspect

Each step should have a clear result and manual verification method.

  1. 01

We check the intake, collectors, boiler, pumps, and hot water supply scheme

  2. 02

We determine which lines to block together and which separately

  3. 03

Selecting Valve, Actuator, Power and Safe Position

  4. 04

We test closing under working pressure and record full travel time

IMPORTANT IN THE PROJECT

What must be addressed from the start

  • The quality and condition of existing shut-off valves
  • Access for replacement and manual opening
  • Protection against condensation and accidental mechanical impact
  • Intermittent Automatic Anti-Sizzling Rotation

TRANSFER TO OWNER

What you receive beyond the equipment

  • Diagram of lines to be blocked
  • Working Automatic Script
  • Manual control method
  • Team Score Indication
  • Valve Inspection Regulations

BEFORE INSTALLATION

Questions: water shutoff

Short answers to questions that affect the composition, cost, and reliability of the solution.

01Can I install the actuator on an existing crane?

Sometimes yes, but first we assess the type, condition, and turning force. For critical protection, it is more reliable to use compatible hardware specified by the system manufacturer.

02Will hot and cold water be shut off?

This is set by the project. In an apartment, both inputs are often shut off. In a house, there may be separate lines for irrigation, heating, boiler, or fire reserve, which cannot be turned off with one command.

03What should I do if the power is cut off?

We choose a drive with appropriate behavior when power goes out and provide a backup for the controller and valve. Manual control should remain available regardless of automation.

04Do you need to shut off the water for each sensor signal?

For high-risk zones—usually yes. For places where splashes are possible, the logic and sensor placement are configured so that protection does not interfere with normal life.

05Will the valve fully stop a leak that has already started?

It stops water supply through the controlled line. The remainder in pipes, storage tank, or boiler may escape, so sensor points and shut-off scheme are calculated together.

06Can I open water remotely?

Technically it is possible, but after an accident it is safer to first ensure that the cause has been eliminated. For remote opening, we set confirmation and limit user rights.
